Last Update: April 2026
These Terms govern your access to ops.tools, the Ops.Tools dashboard, API keys, documentation, demos, paid plans, and related services. By using Ops.Tools, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts and Eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity performed with your API keys, team access, or billing profile. Keep credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. API Keys and Usage Limits
API keys are issued for your authorized use only. Do not publish, resell, share, or embed keys where they can be extracted by unauthorized parties. We may apply rate limits, quotas, concurrency controls, abuse controls, or temporary blocks to protect service reliability and other customers.
3. Acceptable Use
You may not use Ops.Tools to:
- Violate law, privacy rights, security policies, intellectual property rights, or third-party terms.
- Scan, probe, monitor, or test systems unless you are authorized to do so.
- Disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass limits on the website, APIs, or infrastructure.
- Transmit malware, phishing content, spam, credential material, secrets, or regulated data not needed for the service.
- Resell the service or API results as a competing bulk data product without written permission.
4. API Results and Third-Party Data
Ops.Tools returns operational data such as DNS records, WHOIS data, IP data, SSL certificate details, HTTP headers, exposed ports, reverse IP results, and email authentication information. Some results come from public records, third-party data providers, network observations, or external systems outside our control. Results may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or different across regions. You are responsible for validating results before relying on them for business, security, legal, or compliance decisions.
5. Paid Plans, Credits, and Billing
Paid plans, credits, renewals, taxes, and billing features are described on the pricing and account pages. You authorize us and our payment processors to charge the payment method associated with your account for subscribed plans, usage, credits, and applicable taxes. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
6. Customer Data
You retain responsibility for data you submit to Ops.Tools. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit domains, IP addresses, headers, hostnames, email authentication records, and other values for processing. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
The website, product names, documentation, software, design, and service content are owned by Ops.Tools or our licensors. You may use the documentation and API examples to integrate with Ops.Tools, but these Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.
8. Service Changes and Availability
We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, endpoints, plans, documentation, or integrations. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
9. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security or operational risk, fail to pay amounts due, use the service unlawfully, or expose other users to harm. You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through Delete Your Data.
10. Disclaimers
Ops.Tools is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ops.Tools and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, downtime, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Ops.Tools for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Governing Law
