This policy explains how copyright owners can report material on ops.tools that they believe infringes their copyrights, and how affected users may submit a counter-notification.

Before You Submit a Notice

Please confirm that you own or are authorized to act for the copyright owner, that the material is located on an Ops.Tools-controlled page or service, and that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or law. Misrepresentations can create legal liability.

Notice of Claimed Infringement

A DMCA notice should include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including the exact URL or enough detail for us to locate it.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Our Response

When we receive a complete notice, we may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material, notify the affected account or content owner when appropriate, and take repeat-infringer action where warranted. We may reject incomplete notices or request more information.

Counter-Notification

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to the Copyright Agent. A counter-notification should include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable federal court and will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.

Repeat Infringers

Ops.Tools may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights, or that submit abusive or materially inaccurate notices.
